If you were expecting a restaurant, market or cafe and landed on a listing in this group, it usually means the original source listed the business under an unusual or mixed category rather than a plain food label. Contact information, address and hours are still pulled from the same public data used across Portage and Michigan, so they should be accurate even where the category is not a perfect fit. Because this group spans everything from medical clinics to auto shops to gift stores, there is no single etiquette or norm that applies across it; treat each listing on its own terms and call ahead if the category alone does not tell you what you need to know.

Portage is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Portage follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is not a “updated” play area for the kids! Almost looks the exact same as it did before the updates. Also still no food places in the food court! We will just continue to come here the bare min and go to a different mall.

I visited the mall today and had a very unsettling experience that management needs to address immediately. While I was in the children’s play area, an individual—who appeared to be under the influence—approached my child and touched his face. It is incredibly concerning that security allowed someone in that state to enter a designated area for young children. As a parent, I shouldn't have to choose between reacting to a stranger touching my child or keeping the peace for my family's sake.Security needs to do a better job of monitoring who is loitering around the play zones. To make matters worse, I took my son to the men's restroom and found no changing table. It’s 2026—dads change diapers too. Expecting fathers to care for their children without providing the necessary facilities is unacceptable. Between the lack of security and the outdated restroom facilities, this mall is not currently a "family-friendly" environment. Please do better.

If I had to guess I'd say this mall is about 60% occupied as there are many empty storefronts. There are also only 2 places left to get food, China Wok is the only tennant in the food court and then Auntie Anne's is located within the mall shopping area. There are name brand stores along with a bunch of local stores trying to be successful. The mall was clean and made for a nice walk.

This mall has gone downhill a LOT. The owners (who are Kohan Retail Investment Group, known for letting malls rot to their deaths, not paying utilities, taxes etc.) don't care about the mall at all, and they are clearly not trying to bring in new stores into the mall. The food court only has a chinese restaurant.. the rest of the mall is very hit or miss. The mall does not have as many national retailers as it once had.. they all either closed or moved somewhere else. The mall has some maintenance issues, and the mall has stopped putting paper towels in the restrooms... you might aswell just go to Grand Rapids as those 2-3 malls actually have stores, and the owners at those malls actually care... wouldn't be surprised if the next time I visited another few store would be closed... :/

July 2024 - Wow! I'm impressed! We came to the mall to look around and were very pleasantly surprised how many stores are now open! It's wonderful! Last year I thought it was on its last legs, but now it's great. It's certainly not full - but there's tons of stores there, and open, and a lot of foot traffic - especially since today it's beautiful outside and it's the middle of the week. If you haven't stopped by for a while, please check it out. July 2023 - This used to be the place to go to shop and hang out. The pandemic made a lot of stores and restaurants permanently close which is a big shame. I hope it recovers.
